The CNC Diablo IV Portal: Every Diablo 4 Tool in One Place, and How to Use It

Helltide and World Boss timers, a full Sanctuary map, a Horadric Cube simulator, a build helper, every item in the game and the clan behind it all. Here's every tool in the CNC Diablo IV portal and how to use it.

Every Diablo IV player knows the routine. One tab for the Helltide timer, one for a map someone screenshotted two seasons ago, one for a cube recipe list, one for a build guide with a different item database, and a Discord message asking "is the world boss up?"

We got tired of the routine, so we built the CNC Diablo IV portal: one place with live Helltide and World Boss timers, a full Sanctuary map, a Horadric Cube simulator, a build helper, every item in the game, all of it free for any player. These Diablo 4 tools are free, and most of the data is read straight from the game files, not copied from somebody's spreadsheet.

Here's every tool in the portal, what it does, and how to get the most out of it.

The short version

  • Free for everyone: browse and vote with no account, and sign in with Discord to track your progress. You don't need to be in CNC to be part of CNC.
  • Helltides: live Helltide, World Boss and Legion timers, with the community confirming which region is burning.
  • Map: every dungeon, stronghold, cellar, waypoint, Altar of Lilith, World Boss arena and lair, with your progress saved.
  • Items, Crafting and the Horadric Cube: every item, every crafting step, and a cube you can run any recipe in without spending a thing.
  • Build helper: pick a skill and see every item, aspect and affix that boosts it.
  • Journey, builds, leaderboard and Run finder: track progress, run tested builds, get verified, and find a group.
  • A work in progress: some info may be wrong. Report it and we fix it.

How do Helltide timers work on the CNC portal?

The Helltides page is the one you'll keep open. It shows live timers for the Helltide, the World Boss and the Legion event, plus a map of every Tortured Gift chest, ritual and event spot.

Blizzard doesn't publish which region is burning, so the community does it:

  1. In game, open your map and find the region shaded red.
  2. On the site, tap that region's button. If two or three are burning, tap each.
  3. When enough players name the same region, the map lights up for everyone. Tapped the wrong one? Tap it again to take it back.

On a phone, pick the region from the list and press Vote.

Tortured Gifts sit in fixed spots, but which ones appear each hour is random. The panel lists what each chest costs in Aberrant Cinders, so you know what to save for.

World Boss timers follow the game's fixed rhythm. About 30 minutes before a spawn, the game marks the boss on your map. Tap I see it on my map (or use /boss in Discord) with the boss, region and minutes left. When reports agree, it shows as confirmed for everyone and resets the site's clock, so the timer stays right even if Blizzard shifts the schedule.

Our read: this is the feature that makes the whole portal worth bookmarking. Every vote makes it more accurate for the next player.

The Sanctuary map

The Map places every capital city, waypoint, dungeon, stronghold, cellar, Altar of Lilith, World Boss arena and Lair Boss lair, positioned from the game files.

  • Search any name: Kyovashad, Duriel, a dungeon, "altar."
  • Hover or tap a pin to see what it is.
  • Mark as done on waypoints, dungeons, strongholds, cellars and altars. The legend counts your progress per region.
  • Hide what I've done clears finished pins off the map.

Your ticks save to your account when you're signed in, so your altar hunt follows you from PC to phone.

Items: every item in the game, one for one

Items matches the game: Uniques, Mythic Uniques, Runewords, Talisman Charms, Horadric Seals, Legendary Aspects, Runes, Gems, Paragon Glyphs, Prime Evil Powers, Tempering Recipes, and every material, currency, key and consumable.

  • Filter by Kind, slot or where it drops. Aspects and tempering recipes group by class.
  • Search words in any order. No exact match? It shows the closest names.
  • Hover or tap for the in-game tooltip and where it drops.
  • Pin items you're chasing. Pins stay at the top on any device.

A Unique's page shows every fixed line and the range each can roll, its versions (Unique, Ancestral, Crafted Mythic), every way to upgrade or reroll it, and every random affix its other slots can roll, with how often each lands. Lair Keys has its own page showing where each key drops and which Lair Boss Hoards it opens.

Crafting, step by step

Crafting walks every station in the order that wastes the least: pick the base, fix the affixes, imprint, temper, masterwork, socket, and transfigure last. It covers the Blacksmith, Occultist, Jeweler, Mythics, Seals, Charms, runes and runewords, and every material with where it drops.

Costs come from the game files, with Blizzard's later patch notes winning wherever they changed something.

What does the Horadric Cube simulator do?

The Horadric Cube runs the game's own cube recipes on any item, without spending a single material.

  1. Click the item slot and search any item, or build a base item from type and quality. Tick Ancestral if yours is, and pick your class.
  2. The list shows every recipe your item fits. A dropdown shows the ones it doesn't, and what they need.
  3. Pick a recipe. If it takes a Tuning Prism, choose one and watch the outcomes change.
  4. See exactly what goes in, your item before and after, and everything it can land on, with the game's own odds where the files have them.
  5. Press Transmute to roll one. Nothing is spent.

Drop in a Charm or Seal and it lays the rerolls side by side: Reroll Set Charm, Horadric Reroll and Affix Value Reroll. Hidden recipes the game shows as ??? are listed too.

Our read: test your cube plan here before you burn a week of materials on a bad roll.

Build helper: what makes my skill stronger?

The Build helper answers the question every theorycrafter asks:

  1. Pick your class, then the skill your build is built around.
  2. See the skill's families (Core, Hellfire and the rest) and its damage type.
  3. Get every affix that adds ranks or multiplies its damage, and which slots roll it.
  4. Then every Unique, Mythic, Legendary Aspect, Tempering recipe, Charm, Seal and Paragon Glyph whose own text names the skill, its family or its damage type.

It tells you what boosts a skill, not which pieces work best together. That's what our builds are for.

Builds, classes and the leaderboard

Tool What it's for
Classes Every class, its skills, and the builds that use it
Builds Written by Crayons, checked by a Game Lead
Leaderboard Verified clears only
Journey Every campaign quest, priority quest, side quest and stronghold

Clear content with a build and claim it: a verified clear earns XP. Post a run with proof and a lead verifies it for the leaderboard. On the Journey, every quest and stronghold you tick is a point of XP, up to 500.

Lore, Run finder, clans and screenshots

  • Lore: the full text of every book, letter and record in the game.
  • Run finder: pick what you're running and how many slots are open, press Post it, and you're on the board and in the game's Discord channel. It also shows who usually plays at your hours.
  • Clans: every clan that calls CNC home, ranked by what its members do here.
  • Screenshots: browse the crew's best drops and kills. Posting your own is for CNC members.

Go deeper

Each of the big tools has its own full guide:

Want to play with us? The CNC clan (optional)

You don't need a clan to use any of this. But if you want a crew to run with, our in-game clan is (CNC) Veterans of Sanctuary, and Diablo IV only lets clans accept members from inside the game:

  1. In Diablo IV, open the Social menu and go to Clans.
  2. Search for Veterans of Sanctuary and apply.
  3. A lead accepts you in game. If it sits for a day, post in Discord.
  4. On the site, press I'm in the clan on your profile. Your member card shows it from then on.

Already in another clan? Press I'm in another clan and pick it. No pressure, no reminders.

You don't need to be in CNC to be part of CNC

CNC is OG gamers meeting new tech: veterans, first responders and players who've been at this since cartridges, building the tools we always wanted. And every player is welcome to use them.

  • Look around: every map, timer, database and guide is open. No account needed.

Want more than that? Apply to become a CNC member. That's the only part with an application. Everything above is yours either way.

This is a work in progress, and we need you

Here's the honest truth: the CNC Diablo IV portal is a work in progress, built by a small volunteer team. We read the data from the game and check it against Blizzard's official patch notes, but games change every patch and we make mistakes. Some information here may be wrong, missing or out of date. Treat it as a strong starting point, not gospel, and trust the game over the site when they disagree.

That's where you come in. This portal stays right because the community polices it:

  • Spot something wrong? Use the comments on the page where you found it, or post in the game's Discord channel. Tell us what the site says and what the game shows. A screenshot helps.
  • A Game Lead checks it and fixes it. Corrections from players are how most mistakes get caught.
  • Votes and reports matter. Every confirmation you add makes the next player's answer more accurate.

The legal bit

CNC is an unofficial, fan-made community resource. Diablo IV and its names, art, text, audio and data are trademarks and property of Blizzard Entertainment. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard. We build this for players, credit our sources, link to official ones, and don't sell anything made from the game's content. If a rights holder asks us to change or remove anything, we will, promptly.
