Extraction from cadaver and growth in Axlotl tank successful. We then attempted to stimulate mnemonic responses from Q337 through various stimuli.
* Visual: Subject shown images of Zanovar. No recognition.
* Olfactory: Scent exposure associated with donor’s childhood. Results inconclusive.
* Audio: Exposer to recording of the play “My Father’s Shadow”, as performed on Kaitain, including his infamous speech. Subject paused a moment, but showed no other signs of recall.
* Intensive Audio: Exposure to the audible pleading/cries/screams of donor’s loved ones. No satisfactory signs of recall.
* Immersion: Subject left in room surrounded by projections of donor’s cadaver for 72 hours without explanation. Confusion, yes. Recognition, no.
* Facial Recognition: Subject anesthetized and surgically altered to wear donor’s face, then exposed to mirrors. What was initially mistaken for signs of recognition appears to actually be distress.
Conclusion: No amount of sterile lab work can replace lived experience. We suggest sending subjects to Arrakis.
