Affixes can be applied to Helms, Chest Armor, Gloves, Pants, Boots, Shields, and Amulets. Affixes it can add (top tier manual): • Traps Arm [0.4 - 0.6] Seconds Faster • +[20 - 40]% Grenade Damage • +[20 - 40]% Trap Damage
Manual tiers in the game: 1, 2, 3. A higher tier manual upgrades the recipe's rolls.

Where to find it
Tempering manuals drop in the world. Reading one teaches the recipe at the Blacksmith, where it adds one of its affixes to a piece of gear.

Masterworking raises every affix on it a step at a time; ranks 4, 8 and 12 each pick one affix at random and raise it much more.
